I created this blog to highlight my mother Caren Meek and all of her projects. She is constantly working on something whether it be knitting, crochetting, cooking or sewing. I believe it is physically impossible for her to sit on the couch and watch t.v. without working on a project. She is an amazing woman with many talents.

cable pink baby sweater

Another adorably pink babygirl sweater!

I guess I'm impatient and never wait until mom sews the buttons on to photograph things.

Pretty In Pink

A precious little girl sweater (before mom put the buttons on). It was too cute, I couldn't wait until the buttons were on to take the photos.

It Takes All Kinds

Yarn Therapy's first Veterans donation blanket!

A number of the ladies in our Yarn Therapy group helped make this afghan by making 7 by 9 inch squares. Mom collected the squares and crocheted them together. Each afghan takes 49 squares (rectangles really). 7 squares down and 7 across. Easy, fun and beautiful afghans are the result.
I think we almost have enough for a second one to go together.

As you can see, it takes all kinds of patterns and yarns and skill levels. ANYTHING can and WILL go into these afghans. That's the beauty of it. Everyone in the group can contribute and feel accomplished.
