I created this blog to highlight my mother Caren Meek and all of her projects. She is constantly working on something whether it be knitting, crochetting, cooking or sewing. I believe it is physically impossible for her to sit on the couch and watch t.v. without working on a project. She is an amazing woman with many talents.
as long as we've had these windows, we've not had curtains on them (but i probably wasn't supposed to mention that). mom found this cute apple fabric that was perfect for the job. she is trying to convert the kitchen to apple theme. how cute! next up...the cup towels that she put together today.
the shawl as you saw the other day a closer look side edges have this scallop/popcorn edge to them while the top edge has this (as mom calls it) "string of pearls" edge. otherwise known as the crab stitch. and here is baby girl's feet in the red socks.
this picture was taken in the evening on a cell phone. bad quality, but the point was to show that this shawl is done! its nice and large. and has some detail on it that i will photograph tomorrow on my camera and upload.
miss babygirl needs more cute booties and socks, so mom started up some really cute little red socks for her. she's about finished. i'll post them both together when theyre done. they were just too cute not to share right away!
