I created this blog to highlight my mother Caren Meek and all of her projects. She is constantly working on something whether it be knitting, crochetting, cooking or sewing. I believe it is physically impossible for her to sit on the couch and watch t.v. without working on a project. She is an amazing woman with many talents.

Soakers

Momma made a few soakers for upcoming grandson Archie. He should be here in four days (or less)!!!
I didn't get a picture of all the soakers, but this one is cute anyway. There were grey ones, green and multicolored. So cool!

May progress

Mom just finished up these peach colored socks for herself.

Mom taught a few ladies at the Senior Center how to put afghans together, so this is one that few ladies are working on together. One lady makes the squares, and the other puts them together with the black yarn.

Mom is working on this afghan probably for a donation to a Fourth of July Raffle at the center. Or just to donate to the Veterans.

April giving

Mom finished up the gold afghan yesterday and gave both of the current missionaries serving in our ward afghans for their birthdays. BOTH of these guys had an April birthday, so it was a nice double birthday gift giving extravaganza. The blankets look gorgeous and they will be well loved by the guys.

donation blankets

mom's been trying a new setup for putting her afghans together. she calls this the "strip method". i think it looks very masculine.

Here is a new edge she's trying out too. it's kinda cute.

This past week has been very productive for mom as far as the knitting group stuff goes.
Here's a blanket that she finished up. I'm not sure if this has a destination yet, or if it will be donated to the senior center.

This blanket is one she just finished up this week and donated to the Senior Center for a raffle.

Mom's friend has a granddaughter that is in ballet and needed a very small bun cover for her performance, so mom put her fingers to work and produced this adorable little snood.
